If you live near or in San Francisco and have some free time on your hands tonight, you may want to head on over to 1 Stockton Street (that’s the San Francisco Apple Store, for your information) to watch a specially prepared game demonstration at 7 p.m. PDT.
What makes this demo so important? Well, the game in question is the long-awaited Spore (Computer, Nintendo Wii, DS, Mac, Mobile), and the presenter of the demo will be Maxis‘ Will Wright himself. No word on what platform they’ll be using to present the demo, but we anticipate it’ll probably the Personal computer version, up on a projector screen so it’ll be simple to see.
The demo will be of the full game itself, so if you’ve been reading up on Spore or spending time with Spore’s Creature Creator, this would be a free show you’ll probably want to watch.

The biggest improvement made to TimeCapsule v0.42b1 would have to be the changes made to its delete functions. The new function now streamlines itself to avoid the accidental deletion of any backup files. In addition, there was also a bug fix added for the call favorites function for the program.
Here’s the complete list of changes made to TimeCapsule v0.42b1 since our previous coverage of the app:

Work appears to be progressing well for ZodTTD’s vlc4iphone homebrew, which has been recently updated to version 0.9.5 Beta. The developer has decided to drop vlc4iphone’s new name, ZodPlay, due to confusion among its users.
The dev’s original intent was to create two separate media player homebrews, with vlc4iphone being based on VLC, while ZodPlay was to be based on FFmpeg and FFplay. ZodTTD has reportedly dropped

Looking for an easier way to control music on your iPhone? Enter PocketTouch, a homebrew iPhone app that lets users control their music using simple taps and swipes. The app has already been through a few versions, and now developer Skylar has released a new one: version 1.4.1.
This latest update only has one readily-apparent new feature: a Volume Sensitivity option which can be accessed via the Settings menu. This new feature lets users choose between three levels of sensitivity - 1, 2, and 3 - with 1being the least sensitive and 3 being the most sensitive.
On the not-so-apparent side of things, version 1.4 carries the following bug fixes and enhancements:
PocketTouch v1.4.1 is available on the BigBoss source, accessible via the source link below.

Not long after the announcement of the first pre-release build for the upcoming Mac OS X 10.5.4 Update, Apple has once again revealed the details of a second build which will include several more repairs for Mac systems.
Labeled 9E12, the new build will carry various code corrections that will fix the notorious bug which tends to leave some Macs hanging upon shutdown. Another bug that prevents applications from being assigned to Spaces via drag-and drop will also be addressed.
As with its previously released updates, Apple advised developers to evaluate the new software broadly. In particular, the Cupertino-based company has listed the monitoring of almost two dozen core components, including iLife compatibility, printing, networking, AirPort, and common applications such as Mail, iCal, and iChat.
The 150MB Mac OS X 10.5.4 Update will be needed for Leopard users who wish to use the newly unveiled MobileMe service. Everyone can anticipate the software to be released a few weeks ahead of MobileMe’s July 11 launch date.
